Pharmacy Model

The Hub's pharmacy model covers the East of England region and we currently have 39 member trusts.  Our current members include acute hospitals, clinical commissioning groups, mental health partnerships, community health trusts and GP Federation.  We recognise that there are defined needs for our different cohorts of members and therefore have distinct work plans covering; clinical commissioning groups, community and mental health trusts and acute trusts.  Our work plans are aligned to our member’s medicines optimisation priorities and procurement needs.

We have partnership arrangements with other NHS providers of pharmacy procurement services and are open to welcoming new members on board.  Collaborative working broadens our work plans and helps our member trusts achieve further benefits through economies of scales and value added services.

Market management

We pride ourselves on the strong relationships we hold with industry and the time we dedicate to maintaining these positive relationships.  Contract monitoring and management is pivotal to our model and we work closely with both member trusts and industry to ensure that markets are managed effectively and contracts deliver best value outcome for customers and suppliers.  We encourage and actively promote innovation through our contracts to ensure mutual benefit to our member trusts and industry partners.
